Learn to Knit Socks

Description: In our sock class you will learn how to make a top down sock in three parts. You can make a heel of your choice: heel flap gusset or short row heel.

3 Sundays from 2:00-4:00: August 10, 17 and 24

Materials: Sock yarn, size 1 (2.25mm), 32”-40” circular needle, or size 1 DPN's, locking stitch markers, darning needles, scissors. Pattern is provided in class.

Please buy your class materials at Cast Away. Be sure to show up to class on time with materials ready or come early to shop.

Experience Needed: If you are planning on using circular needles instead of DPN's, experience with the magic loop method is recommended.

What you'll learn: Students will learn German Twisted Cast On, Heel Flap and short row heel styles, gusset decrease, toe decrease and Kitchener stitch.
