Justine opened Cast Away Yarn Shop in 2008 in the heart of Railroad Square. She ran the shop on her own for five years before joining with Leslee and Isla who formed Folk Modern Craft. Together they moved around the corner into Cast Away's current location, in the historical Lee Brother's building.
In the summer of 2017 Justine's daughter Cleo, a recent art school graduate, came aboard as partner. At the same time, Isla took Folk Modern Craft to her personal studio and Leslee rebranded as The Weaving School, located inside Cast Away Yarn Shop.
Cast Away was featured in Sunset Magazine in 2014. This amazing 1906 brick warehouse loft is 4000 square feet of yarn, needles, notions, bags, looms, and gifts.
