Learn to Knit a Colorwork Vest

The Roosty Tank Top is a bottom up colorwork vest that uses 5 colors and involves cutting fabric (steeking) for neck and sleeves. 

This is a multi-day class that meets on 6 separate days to work through all parts of this pattern. See dates and times below for all 6 meeting days and times for the course:

Class 1: Sat January 10th 1:30-3:30pm (choosing colors)

Class 2: Sun January 18th 4-6pm

Class 3: Thur January 29th 4-6pm

Class 4: Thur February 12th 4-6pm

Class 5: Thur February 26th 4-6pm

Class 6: Thur March 12th 4-6pm

Materials: Appropriate yarn, needles, stitch markers, and the Roosty Tank Top pattern. Pattern should be purchased through ravelry using the link below and is not included with the class:

Yarn: The recommended yarn is Baa Ram Ewe Pip in 5 colors (we will choose colors together on the first class, just think about your desired color palette ahead of time).

Experience Needed: You should already know how to knit sweaters, have some experience with colorwork, and should be able to read colorwork charts.

What You'll Learn: How to properly gauge swatch, adjust size, prepare steek for the neck and sleeves and steeking (cutting fabric).
