The Pelica Vest is a uniquely constructed vest with an interesting icord edge all over the body. The vest is a versatile piece to wear in between the seasons.
Materials: The yarn recommended is Brusca by Rosa Pomar, 32" or longer US 7 needle (or needle to get gauge), size H crochet hook (for provisional cast on), 2 yards scrap yarn, stitch marker. Please purchase the pattern before class (available on Ravelry): https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/pelica
Please buy your needed materials at Cast Away.
Homework: Make gauge swatch to determine your needle size needed for this project. With US 7 (or whatever needle gets you gauge), cast on 24 sts. Knit every row for 40 rows. Bind off and block piece.
Experience Needed: You should know how to knit and purl and follow a pattern.
What You'll Learn: Provisional cast on, picking up stitches, i-cord edge, icord bind off, button holes.
