Woolen yarn has been spun in the water powered, brick mill town of Harrisville since 1794.
This yarn is not made from Shetland Wool - rather, the name 'Shetland' refers to the size of the yarn and not the fiber content. The wool is a blend of an Australian fine wool and a hearty New Zealand wool. Shetland is spun more tightly on the spinning frames (higher turns per inch) so it is highly durable and will wear better and better every year. Don't let the crunch fool you. It will soften over time and will become a favorite sweater or accessory.
Good for weaving, knitting, crocheting. Fulls beautifully, softens and long wearing!
