Learn to Wet Felt a Basket

Join Nancy Rosenthal for this class on Relief Felting, or "3-D felting" to make a felted basket.

You will use wool fiber and plant dyed locks to create a beautiful basket that you can use to carry your cakes of yarn, crafting notions, or even consider giving it as a gift (if you can part with it ;-).

If you’ve taken the 3-D Vessel class, you have a great head start! In this exciting and awe inducing class you will work with wool roving to create your unique basket using warm soapy water, bubble wrap, and your own 2 hands! We will provide white corriedale wool roving for the base of your basket and many lovely colors of plant dyed wool locks for you to choose from to make your own unique piece. Nancy will show you a variety of completed samples she's made and examples of other potential creations from her collection of felting explorations over the years.

We think you'll be inspired to go home and make a whole colony of these in varying shapes and sizes!

All materials included 

Skills Level: Helpful to have basic wet felting experience, but not required

Age: 12+

What to wear: Comfortable clothes that can get slightly wet, and/or bring an apron.
