Beginning Knitting Workshop

Always wanted to learn how to knit? Or do you know a little bit and want to learn more? This is the class for you! We will teach you the basics and get you ready for our other more advanced classes. Ages 10+

This is a 3 hour class. We will teach to you at whatever beginner level you are at- complete beginner, beginner or advanced beginner. We will go over the skills listed here below, if you already know these skills you need a more advanced class:

• Cast on
  
• Knit
• Purl
• Stockinette 
• Ribbing
• Bind off
• Weave in ends
• Increase
• Decrease
• Pattern Reading

Materials: Please buy your materials in the shop (ahead of time or at least 15 minutes before class begins) so we can show you the best yarn and needles for learning. If you think you already have materials bring them to us so we can make sure they are correct for this class. 
• Worsted weight 100% WOOL yarn (We recommend a light color of Malabrigo Worsted)
• WOODEN size US 8 needles (straight or 24" circular).
• It's also helpful to have scissors, darning needle and tape measure.

Class Cancellation Policy:
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations or rescheduling to ensure a refund or store credit. *Because our instructors are compensated based on confirmed attendance, we cannot offer refunds for late cancellations unless we are able to fill your spot from the waitlist.

24+ Hours Notice: Full refund or store credit (your choice).

Under 24 Hours: Refund or credit only issued if your seat is filled from our waitlist.
