Beginning Knitting - Learn to Knit

Always wanted to learn how to knit? This is the class series for you! We will teach you the basics and get you ready for our other more advanced classes.

This is a three part class. In class one, you will learn to cast on, knit and bind off. In class two, you will learn how to purl, stockinette and rib. Class three goes over increase, decrease and pattern reading. You can just swatch to learn, or we can get you going on projects like a beanie, a pair gloves, or a shawl.

This beginning knitting class is meant for brand new knitters or those with only a *tiny bit of experience. If you already know how to cast on, knit, purl, bind off, we will guide you to another class.

Dates: This is a 3 session class, each session is 2.5 hours

Cost: $140 

Materials: Materials are not included. Please buy your materials here so we can show you the best yarn and needles for learning. If you think you already have materials bring them to us so we can make sure they are correct for this class. 
• Worsted weight 100% WOOL yarn in a light color(We recommend Malabrigo Worsted)

• Size US 8, 24" circular needles (We recommend ChiaoGoo)

• It's also helpful to have scissors, darning needle and tape measure.

Experience Needed: None! Children ages 10+ are welcome in this class too.

What you'll learn: Cast on, knit, purl, bind off, increase, decrease and basic pattern reading.

Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations or rescheduling to ensure a refund or store credit. *Because our instructors are compensated based on confirmed attendance, we cannot offer refunds for late cancellations unless we are able to fill your spot from the waitlist.
