Vertices Unite Shawl Class

 Vertices Unite is a playful geometric shawl exploration filled with fun shaping techniques and lots of color. Increases, decreases, and short rows form the simple shapes. Each section is picked up and knit from the last section or worked as it is being joined to the other pieces like a puzzle so it is completely seamless. An I-cord border adds a crisp outline to the finished shawl. Grab a collection of fingering or DK weight yarns and choose the sweet small size or a lusciously large wrap. Get color inspiration HERE!

For this class you will do HOMEWORK (see below) so be sure to read the instructions below and come to class prepared.

Daniele will help you understand the structure of the Vertices Unite Shawl and how the sections are joined, knitting in stripes, pick up and knit stitches into selvedge, sk2p, short rows in garter, M1 with backwards loop cast on and I-cord bind off. She will review all of the techniques in the pattern, so that you can confidently go on to knit one of Stephen West's wonders.

Materials: The pattern: click HERE to buy the pattern; 32-40" circular needles in either size US 4 (fingering weight yarn) or US 6 (DK weight yarn); 5 colors of fingering (or DK) weight yarn:

Color E - 135 (310)yds
