Learn to Felt a Knit Basket

In this class, you will knit, felt, and needle felt to decorate the felted basket.

Materials: feltable NONsuperwash yarn Worsted Weight (1200 yds), or Bulky weight (800 yds) or Super Bulky weight (400 yds) total yarns, size 13 (5mm) 24” circular needle, stitch markers, felting needle (38 triangle) and small felting foam. Some felting fibers are provided but if you need specific color, you should bring your own. Please buy your class materials at Cast Away. Be sure to show up to class on time with materials ready or come early to shop.

Experience Needed: You should already know how to knit in the round, yarnover, picking up stitch.

What you'll learn: Students will learn how to knit in the round, machine felting, and decorating the basket using needle felt.
