Make the ‘Otte’ Wrap alongside your peers! The Otte Wrap is a flat-knit cowl/shoulder-warmer wrap done in a simple K4, P4 stitch pattern with basic increases and decreases, seamed together with a twist!
In this month-long group project, February 28–March 28, you will work on your own project at your own pace, in your preferred size and color, with a group of other like-minded knitters working on the same project, there to help each other along.
We will meet weekly at Cast Away Yarn Shop on Wednesdays, 4:00–6:00 PM, to knit together, show off our progress, and help each other with any questions. It is FREE to participate! Only one-requirement: the yarn for the project must be purchased in our shop in order to participate in the weekly shop meet-ups. If you are not local and cannot make it to the meetings, you are still encouraged to participate online! Join the Facebook group to post photos, updates, questions, and support. If you don’t finish your project in the one-month timeframe...no problem! The Knit-Along is meant to be a community of knitters encouraging each other along on a single project, whether it’s just to get started or to see it through to the end. All at your own comfort level!
Anyone is encouraged to join the Knit-Along at any point, within the one-month timeframe. Come into the shop to pick up the pattern and your yarn. Feel free to experiment! Anyone long-distance may purchase supplies from our website, and as an added bonus, purchase of Woolfolk ‘Tynd’ or ‘Sno’ for the project will receive FREE SHIPPING!!
Meeting dates are Wednesdays, 4:00–6:00 PM as follows:
PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT a class, and the Leader is NOT an instructor. This is a group setting in which all the participants are encouraged to help and share with one another. You must have previous knitting experience, including knowledge of: CO, K, p, dec, inc, k2tog, kfb, three-needle bind off.
